Because of the Cr6+ issues, many companies are looking for alternatives to galvanized products. This is also an important matter for the automobile producer. At the suggestion of Perfect Coat, one automobile producer agreed that we would test various paint systems as an alternative to galvanizing. Eventually, in cooperation with coating suppliers, we succeeded in applying single-layer chrome-look coatings to door openers in door panels. The automobile producer was so enthusiastic about this solution that they decided to use only coated door openers in their electric cars.
